Criminal Justice & Social Science Degrees

Study criminal justice, psychology, and interdisciplinary studies—plus cutting edge topics like cybersecurity—within our department. We offer a nurturing atmosphere with faculty who excel in teaching, student mentoring, scholarly research, and service to the community.

Criminal Justice Administration Degree

Cybersecurity Degree

Gain an interdisciplinary understanding of computer science, criminal justice, and information security policy and procedures. Our bachelor of arts cybersecurity degree teaches practical digital investigative knowledge, critical legal skills, information security policies, along with the social and cultural issues related to cybersecurity risks.

  • Cybersecurity Risk Analysis
  • Introduction to Cryptography 
  • The field of cybersecurity is a growing transnational phenomenon where the potential for jobs and support for graduate education is expected to grow exponentially over the next 15 to 20 years. 

    Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to pursue career paths in areas such as:

Interdisciplinary Studies Degree for Nontraditional Students​

Our bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies program is designed for adults and nontraditional students. Students get the flexibility to develop a course of study that is consistent with, and appropriate to, their goals and career objectives. 

Part of the conditions for earning the degree is that the student is expected to complete:

  • General education requirements
  • Interdisciplinary core
  • Coursework in at least two disciplines
  • A capstone experience

Membership gives students opportunities to participate in scholarship competitions, special events, local, regional, and national networking, and more. 

Alpha Phi Sigma
Recognizes and promotes high scholarship for students with a 3.2 grade point average and higher.

Alpha Theta Iota Chapter of Sigma Alpha
The National Political Science Honor Society stimulates interest in the poli sci studies. This national society sponsors programs and events at the charter level.
