Patrice Mazyck was raised in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She graduated from Benedict College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Science. Mazyck continued her education at Eastern Kentucky University located in Richmond Kentucky. She graduated in 2011, with a Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management with a concentration in Occupational Health and Safety. Currently, she is an Occupational Safety Health Specialist for Boeing in North Charleston, South Carolina. Mazyck recently launched LINQ International, LLC, a non-profit business that specializes in connecting people, businesses and information. In 2018, Mazyck received the Women of Color Rising Star Award in recognition of her work to bridge the gap between HBCUs and Boeing SC.

Dr. Carlye Summers is a 2014 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Benedict College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During her matriculation she was the President of the Beta Kappa Chi honor society and a member of the Alpha Chi honor society. Summers served as the recording secretary in 2012 and the 1st Vice President in 2013 for the Benedict College Student Government Association. She was a member of the Benedict College Cheerleading squad and the School of Honors. Summers maintained her status on the Dean’s list from 2010 to 2014. She continued her education at the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary located in Tuskegee, AL Summers graduated Cum Laude in May 2018 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She is currently an Associate Veterinarian for Petwell Partners in Dallas, TX
