Angela B. Kelly holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Walden University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She retired from state government with 30 years of experience with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (SCDJJ), where she last served as the statewide Director of Victim Services, supporting victims of juvenile crime, and leading statewide initiatives on domestic violence, teen dating violence, gang victimization, and victim sensitivity. During her career, she earned the rank of Captain overseeing the agency’s gang initiative, collaborating with the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Los Angeles Police Department.
Ms. Kelly is a certified Victim Impact Instructor through the California Youth Authority, a certified Victim Services Provider through the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office and was the first in the Southeast Region to be certified as a G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) Instructor in the field of Juvenile Justice and most recently certified in Mental Health First Aid.
In 2018, Ms. Kelly began her academic career with Benedict College as an Psychology Adjunct Instructor and transitioned to a full-time Psychology Instructor in the Fall of 2023.
