On Friday, Kroger volunteers joined Benedict College students to help stock the pantry. In celebration of Black History Month, Kroger partnered with Benedict College to help fight student hunger. As part of Kroger’s Zero Hunger initiative, the “Pack the Pantry” campaign tries to prevent students from facing food insecurity while on campus. According to the U.S. Department of Education, nearly 1 in 4 undergraduate students face food insecurity. Kroger donated groceries valued at $5,000 to Benedict’s Tiger Shop food pantry.
