I want to become an attorney to aid in systemic change within the justice system primarily impacting minority communities. Being a pre law minor aided me in building connections, networking, working on my public speaking, and learning about systemic issues within the justice system through courses Benedict provided.
Dr. Ebony D. Green is a full-time Pre-Law and Criminal Justice Professor, serving as the college’s Pre-Law Center Director and student advisor. Under her tutelage, the Pre-Law Center is an inaugural program as the first HBCU center in the state, Pre-Law minor instituted, “Order in the Den” Podcast & L.I.T. Camp created, & 100% ABA law school acceptance rate in three years for alumni. Dr. Green earned her undergraduate degree in English, with a minor in Psychology, from Winthrop University, a Master’s in Education from Buffalo State, and a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
With a deep passion for women, emerging professionals, and youth, Dr. Green has built her career on mentoring vulnerable student populations and advancing the professional development of women leaders and young professionals. After the tragic murder of her maternal grandmother, she transitioned from traditional education to law—pursuing justice for youth in the legal system. That pivotal moment sparked a legal career that spans juvenile law, business, and now higher education, where she continues to shape the next generation of legal professionals.
Within academia and beyond, Dr. Green is the Founder and CEO of a private publishing and consulting firm, and the visionary behind the Partner in Faith Model©, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities through mentorship, education, and faith-based leadership.
