Columbia, S.C., November 17, 2025, The Benedict College Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) Team opened the 2025–26 academic competition season with an outstanding performance, securing victories in every match during a scrimmage held Monday, November 10, at the Honda Plant in Timmonsville, South Carolina.
The Tigers faced off against Allen University and Voorhees University, emerging undefeated, including an impressive 910-point win over Voorhees. Before competing, team members toured the state-of-the-art Honda facility, setting the stage for a day of spirited academic challenge and growth.
“As the coach of the Benedict College HCASC team, I couldn’t be prouder of our scholars,” said Dr. Kimberly Singletary. “Their commitment to academic excellence and teamwork was truly inspiring. Winning against both Allen University and Voorhees University showcases not only their knowledge but also their dedication and spirit.”
Team member Trissania Lawrence reflected on the significance of the scrimmage, sharing: “I’m extremely grateful for the experience, exposure, and growth the scrimmage brought us. We performed well, but what stood out most were the moments that challenged us and showed where we can improve. We left encouraged, humbled, and ready to put in the work for what’s ahead.”
The Benedict College team showcased exceptional strategy and collaboration, sweeping both Ultimate Challenge rounds and further solidifying their competitive edge.
